Cantine Ca' Baradei Malvasia

This is one of the oldest grape varieties, there are several different varieties and most of them are grown in Italy. Its name comes from MONEMVASIA, a Byzantine stronghold in southern Peloponnese. Captured by the Venetians in 1400, this vine was then transplanted to Venetian territories and spread across much of Europe through trade.

Description

Sensory Notes

A straw yellow color with fruity notes of peach and apricot. This wine also has floral notes of freesia and acacia. The flavour is delicate, slightly aromatic and with a good balance of sugar.

Pairings

Optimal with risotto and delicate vegetable or egg based dished. Also suitable with fresh cheeses.
