Sensory Notes
The most distinctive characteristic of this grape is the acidity, which should be preserved so as not to compromise the balance of the wine; by bringing the grape to a slow ripening in cool climate zones, this helps preserve the aromas. The color is deep ruby red. The nose has floral notes of violet and rose, and scent of red fruit. One the palate is an array of red fruit including cherry, raspberry and blackberry. The wine is low in tannins. Its acidity is balanced with the alcohol it renders, it is soft, flavorful and of good structure.
