This wine of French origin is very widespread in our area. So much so that the Veneto region is recorded to have the greatest amount of Merlot produced in Italy. This grape adapts easily to different climates and terrain. If cultivated to produce high yields per hectare, the wines will be young and fresh. If not, the vine will produce structured wines which are suitable to age in oak barrels.
