A French native, originally from the area known as Bordeaux. This variety is best known to the world as being capable of great adaptability to different climates and soils. It seems to have been generated from a spontaneous cross between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. The grape skin is thick and rich in substances, with longer maceration the wine will be enriched with polyphenols and structure. Its aroma, instead depends on the area, the type of soil and the maturation at harvest time.
